Business Development Director- Remote
Job Summary :
The Business Development Director (BDD) plays a pivotal role at Kinetic Advantage, maximizing Kinetic’s growth while mitigating risk within the portfolio.
The BDD bridges the gap between field sales roles and regional leadership. They are responsible for sourcing and expanding current business opportunities as well as developing new business within a large geographical segment of the United States, and requires extensive travel of up to 75%.
This role demands a strategic mindset focused on maximizing revenue, and limiting losses and exceeding production expectations well beyond a traditional sales role.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Achieve monthly dealer contract volumes both new and existing
- Collaborate with field leaders and department leaders to ensure prudent business decisions
- Independently or in partnership with field support, identify and qualify business opportunities through phone calls, lot visits, auction visits, scheduled sales blitzes, and referrals
- Drive wallet share strategies that maximize Kinetic’s opportunity with our dealer customers
- Prioritize core business growth while also identifying and pursuing large-scale business opportunities Lines of credit greater than $1.0MM
- Mitigate risk through proactive due diligence prior to any contract request
- Develop and implement comprehensive market strategies tailored to different geographical areas and market segments by collaborating with necessary field members / leadership to align strategies and ensure execution
- Complete the processes necessary for line-modifications as well as the sourcing of new applications
- Conduct regular huddles with field teams to assess and support business cases where applicable
- Focus on generating referrals by building strong relationships with existing and potential clients and maintain partnerships with complementary businesses to create a robust referral network
- Consistently achieve and exceed set goals for tactical expectations and production goals
- Maintain a rigorous follow-up process and ensure all dealer leads and contacts are meticulously updated in the system as identified
- Stay informed about competitors and their programs through thorough industry research and dealer interactions
- Deliver exceptional customer service from initial contact through to contracting
- Be dedicated to driving volume and growth to support Kinetic Advantage’s overall success which transcends beyond operational or sales functions
- Perform all other duties as assigned, including collateral audits for portfolio purposes, sales blitz preparation, sales blitz attendance, and other related tasks
Requirements
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in or with auto dealerships
- Automotive industry knowledge and floorplan auto finance experience preferred

Physical Requirements :
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to communicate clearly
