5000 list along with a 26th position in the competitive construction sector is looking for a Manager of Frontline Sales.
The Manager of Frontline Sales oversees all canvassing operations for the Nashville office, reporting directly to the General Manager, Nashville.
This role is responsible for managing a team of 4 to 5 canvassers who travel to designated territories going door-to door reciting sales scripts with the goal of setting quality appointments to help convert prospects into customers.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish sales team objectives by management staff, hire, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
- Constantly recruit to cycle out low performers and keep teams at full capacity; encourage a culture of constant recruiting within the team and expand recruiting practices to reach a broader audience
- Plan canvassing strategy, coordinate calendars and drive routes for sales team
- Meet with team members in-person daily as well as conduct one-on-one meetings to discuss sales goals and progress
- Assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training; conduct annual performance evaluations
- Track and evaluate canvassing team performance
- Document all sales activity in database with a high degree of accuracy and correctness
- Develop rapport and build relationships with existing and potential customers
- Ensure team members follow proper procedures and scripts
- Attend job fairs, trade shows, team events and hiring events for recruitment
- Effectively deliver in-person sales pitch (script provided) in compliance with established company procedures and standards when necessary
- Work with leadership to develop standardized canvassing skills training for new canvassing team members
- Attend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products, and industry trends
- Be a team player and assist all sales team members where needed for success of the entire sales team across all companies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Managerial experience with a focus on internal goals, team performance and employee retention
- At least 3 years of related canvassing / sales experience
- Ability to lead with confidence; support team; take responsibility and lead by example
- Ability to foster collaboration and achieve collective sales goals
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management skills to fulfill quotas within a specific period
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
- Successful completion of background check
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
