Job Description : Field Service Technician
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers.
This role requires a high level of independent judgment and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct field repairs and troubleshoot a variety of equipment including cranes, forklifts, and trucks.
- Perform quarterly preventive maintenance and Annual DOT inspections as required.
- Handle emergency troubleshooting and repairs during both working and non-working hours.
- Communicate mechanical issues and necessary repairs with job site or fleet managers.
- Accurately document service activities, including estimates, work order authorizations, and parts / labor inventory.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, as well as job site equipment and work areas.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostic troubleshooting, and welding.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience or training, particularly with articulating cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, crouching, and lifting 75 lbs+ for extended periods.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- CDL drivers license (or willingness to obtain one within 60 days of employment) and a clean driving record.
- Must supply own tools; proprietary tools will be provided.
