Robert Half has partnered with a manufacturing company in Englewood in search of an Accounting Manager! The Accounting Manager position is paying $100,000-$120,000 + bonus and is offering great growth potential to grow into a Controller down the line!
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following :
- Lead personnel in daily tasks and month-end close process, including preparing and recording journal entries, preparing accruals, performing reconciliations and analysis
- Guide, train, delegate responsibilities, and support personnel on system processes
- Assist personnel in resolving accounts receivable and accounts payable inquiries, issues, and discrepancies.
- Support personnel with the maintenance of sales and inventory pricing, sales tax, chart of accounts, customer and vendor master data
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to obtain necessary support to process transactions.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of risks, discrepancies, and improvements and alert the Controller when necessary.
- Support Controller with the external audit process, including coordination and preparation of audit schedules and documentation
- Ensure all processes performed comply with the Company’s policies, procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other regulatory bodies
- Verify that internal controls related to accounting processes are in place and effective, and provide technical accounting research and guidance as it pertains to US GAAP topics
- Drive automation and simplification across accounting tasks
- Assist with new ERP system implementation
Requirements for the Accounting Manager include :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Manufacturing experience is nice to have
- Mid-large size ERP experience is nice to have
