Sentara Proprium Pharmacy is looking for Specialty Pharmacy Techs to join their dynamic team in Chesapeake, VA.

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates*

Shift : Monday - Friday (8 : 30am - 5 : 30pm)

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician will ensure accurate and timely data entry, product dispensing, and packing of prescription orders and will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service.

The technician will work in a high volume fulfillment and / or call center environment on a multi- disciplinary team. Routine interaction with specialty pharmacy patients with complex medication needs requiring high touch care and follow-up.

Qualifications :

• Licensed with the Commonwealth of VA Board of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician required
• PTCB or NHA preferred
• Specialty, retail outpatient, long-term care, or mail-order pharmacy experience preferred
• Third-party online adjudication experience, pharmacy billing experience, outpatient pharmacy or long-term care experience, and knowledge of patient financial assistance programs are preferred.

Job Summary

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician II is an experienced pharmacy technician and will serve as a support to all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician workflow, and as a role model to the pharmacy team.

Job duties include all functions of the Specialty Pharmacy Technician I, with additional responsibilities such as : directing workflow, handling patient concerns or complaints, serving as a subject matter expert within different areas of the pharmacy, training and / or being a resource for fellow employees, inventory management, and troubleshooting IT or system-related issues

Third-party online adjudication experience, pharmacy billing experience, outpatient pharmacy or long-term care experience, and Knowledge of patient financial assistance programs are preferred.

Specialty, retail outpatient, long-term care, or mail-order pharmacy experience preferred

VA OR NC (depending upon state location) Pharmacy Technician Registration Number

1 year of pharmacy technician experience is required, PTCB or NHA preferred
