Position Summary

Serves as a content expert to meet accreditation and regulatory compliance for MHS system communication and language access services to patients with hearing / vision / speech loss and Limited English Proficiency.

Facilitates and coordinates provision of interpretation services, and communication services / ADA assistive devices to patients at MHS campuses under direction of Language Access Services management.

Essential Functions

Serves as a resource and consultant for patients and visitors with hearing / vision / speech loss and LEP patients.Monitors the delivery of purchased services, collects data, and gathers information for required reporting and program evaluation under guidance of Manager.

Provides system staff training, consultation, advocacy and assessment of hospital and clinic locations at MHS campuses to assure appropriate language support services are available and utilized.

Audits purchased services invoices for payment and compiles data to demonstrate interpreter services utilization.Processes translation / Braille requests in collaboration with Manager.

Works collaboratively with Assists Manager and others in maintaining the infrastructure of VRI services; provides onsite VRI training and support in coordination with Manager

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred (i.e. computer science, social sciences, liberal arts, humanities, disability studies, human resources, law, healthcare, or related)

Three (3) years or more of Data Analytic or Technical Program Manager experience developing and utilizing database systems

Three (3) years or more experience in government, healthcare, non-profit field, social work, ADA research or service delivery, or some combination of this experience

Licenses and / or Certifications : ADA Coordinator Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire

Licenses and / or Certifications : ASL Certified and / or secondary language in addition to English (preferred)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.

The pay scale is $31.59 - $45.89 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to : skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and / or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
