Position Description
The Department of Medicine () and the Institute for Informatics, Data Science, and Biostatistics (I2DB, ) are seeking highly qualified applicants for multiple faculty positions, focusing on individuals who will engage in clinical informatics research, teaching, and leadership activities.
We will consider candidates for appointments at all ranks (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor) and on all faculty tracks (Research, Clinical, and Investigator).
Successful applicants will : 1) engage in original scholarship related to the field of clinical informatics and / or 2) serve in departmental leadership roles with responsibility for the design, delivery, and optimization of healthcare information systems and data analytics platforms that support and enable the clinical, research, and teaching missions of both the Department of Medicine and I2DB.
Specific areas of scholarly emphasis for this opportunity include but are not limited to :
- Patient-reported outcomes (collection, representation, analysis)
- Health services and administrative data research
- Learning health systems
- Human-factors and workflow analysis
- Artificial Intelligence
- Predictive analytics and data visualization
- Clinical decision support
- Quality improvement
Compensation, start-up packages, and other financial support will be highly competitive and commensurate with candidate rank, experience, and performance.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates should have an advanced degree (, PhD, OTD, MD, DO, MSN / DNP or equivalent) with relevant training or experience in Biomedical or Health Informatics or an analogous area of study.
In addition, candidates at advanced ranks should have a track-record including a combination of clinical excellence, operational performance, extramural funding, peer-reviewed publications, and trainee mentorship.
