Responsibilities
Admissions RN completes assessments for patient admissions. Responsible for all referrals; provides information to individuals, agencies, facilities and professional staff (i.
- e., physicians, consulting professionals), requests information regarding potential admissions, develops and / or maintains relationships with ongoing referral sources to alternate treatment resources when appropriate;
- completes insurance verification and pre-certifications as applicable; participates in crisis and safety interventions as needed;
assists in performance improvement / quality measurement activities as assigned.
Work schedule is 3 -hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am; with rotating weekends.

Qualifications
Education :
Associate degree in Nursing.
Experience :
Two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health setting preferred.
License / Certification :
Current North Carolina or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Physical requirements :
Light Work Exerting up to pounds of force occasionally or up to pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job is rated light work when it requires : (1) walking or standing to a significant degree;
2) sitting most of the time while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls; or (3) working at a production rate pace while constantly pushing or pulling materials even though the weight of the materials is negligible.
