Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Estimator , you’ll be responsible for producing detailed and accurate estimates for commercial rebuild projects.

Here’s what you’ll be doing :

  • Estimate Preparation : Develop thorough estimates using Xactimate by reviewing blueprints, proposals, and specifications to calculate project costs for materials, labor, and time.
  • Scope of Work : Prepare comprehensive scopes of work for construction projects based on client needs and industry standards.
  • Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with adjusters, property owners, facility managers, and other key stakeholders to drive commercial opportunities.
  • Competitive Bidding : Participate in competitive bidding processes by preparing winning estimates that meet client expectations while staying within the guidelines set by Cotton Holdings.
  • Problem-Solving : Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve any project-related issues and find innovative solutions to meet client needs.
  • Compliance : Follow company protocols, policies, and accounting procedures to ensure all estimates meet regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Contract Finalization : Ensure contracts are signed and finalized, adhering to the company’s legal and procedural guidelines.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What We’re Looking For :

  • Xactimate Expertise (REQUIRED) : You have hands-on experience using Xactimate software to create detailed commercial construction estimates.
  • Experience : At least 2 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects.
  • Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to build lasting relationships with clients, adjusters, and internal team members.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : You are resourceful, solution-oriented, and can work through project challenges with ease.
  • Willingness to Travel : This role requires travel to job sites and client meetings as needed (REQUIRED).

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Clean driving record with a valid driver's license (must be 21+ with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years).
  • Ability to travel as needed for project assignments.
