We're looking for someone to join our team as a Senior Director of PACE who :

The Senior Director / Executive Director of PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is responsible for the overall operational, clinical, and financial oversight of the PACE program.

This role ensures the program’s compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and leads the organization in providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare and social services to frail, elderly individuals to help them remain in their communities.

Essential Functions :

Operational Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the PACE program, including medical care, social services, transportation, and home care services to meet participants’ daily needs
  • Regularly interact with participants and families to address concerns, ensure satisfaction, and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate participant health, progress, and any emerging needs.
  • Ensure all participant-related activities (medical appointments, transportation, social activities) are scheduled and executed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and optimize resource allocation across all departments.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to participant care.
  • Develop policies and procedures to meet all regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with federal and state PACE regulations.

Clinical Oversight

  • Provide leadership to clinical staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to PACE participants.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance participant care.
  • Ensure the development of individualized care plans for each participant in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Be physically present in the PACE center to observe operations, engage with staff, and mentor team members on best practices

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the PACE program’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and financial sustainability.
  • Oversee financial operations, including billing, revenue cycle management, and cost containment strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to funding agencies, board members, and senior leadership.

Staff Development and Supervision

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of healthcare professionals, social workers, administrative staff, and other personnel.
  • Directly oversee the scheduling of staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all services (medical, social, transportation, home care).
  • Monitor staff workflows to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to PACE program standards.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and participant-centered care.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional development and growth.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure the PACE program is in full compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations, state licensure requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee risk management and safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and participants.
  • Lead audits and inspections, addressing any deficiencies promptly and effectively.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to support the growth and sustainability of the PACE program.
  • Foster relationships with regulatory bodies, community organizations, and healthcare providers to promote the PACE model.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications :

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, preferably in a PACE program or similar community-based program.
  • Proven track record of managing complex healthcare operations, leading interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in managing healthcare budgets, financial forecasting, and ensuring fiscal sustainability.
  • Deep understanding of the PACE model of care, Medicaid, and Medicare reimbursement systems.
