Kinsa is recruiting for a : Sr. Account Executive, B2B Foodservice Sales

Location : New York or Chicago (50% Travel)

Our client is a well-funded startup focused on solving the huge problem of global food waste, resulting largely from logistical disconnects between farm and fork.

They are expanding quickly, and adding star performers to their sales team. They are looking for candidates in New York City or Chicago.

This is an opportunity to leverage your impressive rolodex of food distributors & manufacturers to provide a turnkey, easy to use online solution addressing food waste.

Fantastic, uncapped commissions!

3+ years experience selling to food distributors and manufacturers. (Extensive distributor experience absolutely required!) A proven track record of hunter sales activity, opening doors and closing sales.

Compensation / Benefits :

  • $120-130k base salary plus uncapped commission.

Key Responsibilities and Goals :

  • Take complete ownership of the full sales cycle, leveraging your existing networks and accounts and cold-outreaching prospects to identify ideal-fit suppliers.
  • Lead discovery and demo meetings, negotiate and execute contracts, and handoff onboarding to our Customer Success team.
  • Prioritize business opportunities and develop action plans to achieve set goals (acquisition of new suppliers, the closing of premium contracts, and long-term relationship building)
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality, and business trends / events, and continually monitor competitor / industry developments.
  • Think outside of the box and present new ideas, processes, and opportunities that exceed customer expectations and make for a best-in-class experience.

Competencies Needed for Success :

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience to food service manufacturers or distributors.
  • A passion for solving global food waste.
  • You are humble, enjoy learning and receiving feedback. You put team success over individual success.
  • You take total ownership of everything you work on.
  • You’re ambitious and resilient, and can share concrete examples of both.
  • You’re fast, nimble, you hit deadlines, and you see projects through completion.
  • 50% travel.
