Outside Sales positions represent the company for the rental and sales of construction equipment to customers in surrounding A Tool Shed store locations.
Outside Sales will need to have tenacity for forming relationships with new customers and the finesse to keep our loyal customers.
For over 75 years A Tool Shed has been providing equipment to professionals as well as homeowners, and we a looking for a special rep to step outside the equipment yard and share what A Tool Shed has available.
We now have 8 locations in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito, and Monterey counties.
Duties :
- Solicits to rental customers and follows up on rental sales leads
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment
- Monitors competitive activity / products and timely communicates to management
- Maintains all customer information for sales management
- Knows and follows a defined sales process
- Assists stores with the preparation and execution of customer reservations
- Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
- Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities you may rely on :
- Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Solid computer skills
- Knowledge of ground protection, construction or specialty industrial equipment preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) may be preferred in some locations
- The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors / outdoors when required by the job.
