Responsibilities :
- Process payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage payroll-related tasks, including data entry, wage calculations, and deductions.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks and direct deposits accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports for management.
- Handle payroll tax filings and ensure timely payment of payroll taxes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, particularly those affecting multi-state payroll.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role, with a focus on multi-state payroll.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in payroll software and MS Excel; experience with ADP or similar systems is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer service mindset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively within a team.
