Accounts Payable Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist in the Ft Lauderdale, FL area. Our client is looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a standard office structure and oversee the AP department.
This role will be in a fast-paced environment with team and independent projects or tasks. In addition, this role will be onsite.
Monitor Company specific AP email account for incoming AP invoices.
Obtain proper approvals and project coding for all incoming invoices prior to processing.
Ensures adherence to internal delegation of authority policy prior to payment.
Ensures all AP invoices are paid timely and within payment terms taking advantage of any applicable discounts.
Assist with Form 1099 preparation.
Monitor invoicing exceptions and unique supplier situations while keeping other internal team members aware of the issues.
Act with a sense of urgency and professionalism to internal and external inquiries via email and phone.
Perform 2- and 3-way matching of vendor invoices.
Ensure compliance with GAAP policies
Batch ACH payments for CFO approval
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Assists team with monthly close and associated monthly reporting.
Participates in preparation and review of audit materials and work papers as required for internal and external audits.
Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
Monitor several email accounts for invoices / documentation
Enter and upload invoices into system
Track expenses and process expense reports
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Teams, and Outlook and in using Accounting related computer systems to setup queries, enter data and process information.
Ability to think and work outside the box.
Understanding of foreign currencies is a plus.
Proficient in data entry and management
2-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
Deadline and detail-oriented
Compensation : $50K-$55K

Pay Details : $50, to $55, per year
