DESCRIPTION
Major Responsibilities and activities :
- Prepare all lot purchase / conversion files for various banks and title company.
- Maintain and reconcile borrowing base schedule, coordinate with banks for discrepancies.
- Keep Builders and Production Managers current within accounting software.
- Create lot inventory database within accounting software so status of each lot is current.
- Process invoices payments for various non-Grand entities.
- Coordinate closing packets with title company for closings.
- Audit sales files.
- Update and maintain the business plan projection and schedules.
- Coordinate the collateralization of units on to the Borrowing Base, update company software and reconcile the monthly report.
- Work with outside accounting firm in the preparation of tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Reviews and approves job cost budgets.
- Reviews, analyzes and coordinates yearly property tax protests with various taxing jurisdictions.
Education / Experience :
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office strong Excel skills required
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
- Have good time management and project management skills.
- Have good analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be self-motivating, hard working, analytical and proactive.
- Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the organization.
