Essential Responsibilities :
- Reconcile all corporate bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Ensure the timely and accurate filing of monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
- Update and maintain month end balance sheet schedules and other financial data
- Maintain accurate books and records for the company’s subsidiaries
- Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements
- Support the Accounts Receivable team to ensure that payments are received when due and are posted to customer accounts on a daily basis
Skills and Qualifications :
- 5+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in a distribution environment
- Four-year college degree in Accounting
- CPA or candidate is a plus, but not a requirement
- Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite
- Experience working with a small, close-knit team
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to perform efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Office 365
- A high level of integrity and dependability, coupled with a strong sense of urgency
- Diligent team player with a strong, traditional work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to multi-task
Other Duties :
- Assist the CFO and the CEO with special projects and requests
- Liaise with, work with, and support other departments as requested
