Transdev is looking for Dispatchers in Denver, Colorado. Our dispatchers are an integral part of daily operations. This position is responsible for same day service scheduling and manifest maintenance for the access-a-Ride transportation program.

The position of the dispatcher is the one who works directly with the passengers and carriers. The goal of the dispatcher is to make sure that all runs are on time the day of service.

Our Dispatchers are responsible for :

• Consistently review routes and make adjustments for efficiency
• Maintain route productivity of spare use
• Respond to customer inquiries such as vehicle location, ETA, and ride times in a timely manner and maintain a standard call answer rate
• Schedule same-day changed transportation for customers, i.e. will-call service
• Monitor emails and handle as appropriate
• Provide excellent customer service
• Relay changes to carriers with updated manifests
• Schedule all the unscheduled trips no less the one hour prior to scheduled windows
• Complete all carrier transfers
• Perform data entry for non MDC manifests, as needed

To qualify as a Dispatcher, you'll need :

In addition to all of the requirements that are listed for the dispatcher position description

• Minimum of one year of dispatching or scheduling experience or a year in customer service.
• Great knowledge of the Denver metro area and surround cities and ability to read maps and give directions
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to asses a problem and resolve it using good judgment
• Excellent detail oriented skills, ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, remain focus and follow through with tasks

Essential job functions :

• Ability to proficiently operate a windows-based computer with keystroke speed of no less than 35 corrected words per minute
• Ability to communicate clearly in the English language
• Able to utilize a standard business telephone
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
