Adjunct Faculty Pool, Humanities, History and Social Sciences

In addition to its regular, full-time faculty, Columbia College Chicago hires scholars, creative professionals and other industry-experienced Adjunct Faculty to teach courses on a part-time basis.
Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of College’s minors in Education and a major in Early Childhood Education.
Qualifications
To be qualified to teach general education courses at the college, candidates must possess a terminal degree in the relevant discipline or at least one degree above the level at which they teach.
Located in the vibrant South Loop area of downtown Chicago, the Humanities, History, and Social Sciences (HHSS) Department offers minors in Black World Studies, Latino and Latin American Studies, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
In addition, HHSS also shares a major and minor in Cultural Studies with the Department of English and Creative Writing, and currently oversees the College’s minors in Education.
