We are looking for a VP of Transportation who will report directly to the CEO and spearhead the formalization of the Sales department.

As the captain of this ship, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic plan to drive growth and success in sales and or brokerage operations.

Responsibilities :

• Create a strategic business plan to formalize a brokerage and or a sales department including sales goals, projections, and timelines
• Design and develop a customer and carrier sales team structure
• Acquire new customers through customer-focused selling
• Develop carrier sales techniques focused on capacity management and rate negotiations
• Manage all levels of brokerage business development, account management, and operations

Skills :

• 10 years of transportation experience
• 7+ years of brokerage industry experience
• Entrepreneurial and sales mindset
• Ability to close and manage large account business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Leadership and mentoring skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
