Performs hardware installations, site equipment audits, and responds to customer service requests. Works to resolution in a break fix environment.
Primarily focused on mobile and station work associated with Conventional, SmartNet Trunking, and Paging Systems. Single-site conventional, trunked, or paging customers.
Provides primary point of contact for 2-5 customer sites plus mobile backup for other technologists. Familiar with basic communication concepts.
Basic understanding of rf, telecommunications, and computer networking. General / Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware and applications required for troubleshooting, characterization and resolution of issues for technology of responsibility.
General / Intermediate knowledge of basic electronic level meters (i.e., DVM, Scope, Wattmeter).Associates Degree or Technical certificate or military training and 2 years technical work experience

The group's main business is the implementation of mission critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers.
Job Duties :
Programming of mobile and portable radios, and infrastructure (training will be provided).
Organize and pack radio kits for shipment.
Data entry into MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Word forms to include barcode scanning.
Equipment Unloading / loading of pallets.
Pick and pack radio system parts / kits for customer specifications.
Assist with stock take and maintaining accuracy of subscriber inventory.
Assist with receiving, handling and dispatching subscriber goods coming into, or going out of the facility.

Are there any additional security checks required? Yes, Need to be able to pass US government Financial (bankruptcy, foreclosure, credit delinquencies or defaulted loans is a failure) and criminal security checks.
If they have previous clearance is a huge plus. Any Drug Use is not acceptable because of Federal Gov't Requirements. Clearance is DHS Public Trust
Does the position support a customer that requires the resource to be a US citizen? Yes, customers require anyone working on equipment to be a US citizen.
Green Card is not acceptable. This role is contingent on passing the customer’s DHS Public Trust clearance process FICO Score of 650 or above preferred.

Will there be any lifting? If so, how many pounds? 20 to 50 lbs - anything 35 lbs can be assisted lift - hardware equipment

Customer facing experience.
What would be some nice-to-have skills : Motorola radio experience, PC help desk support, programming, test equipment, any networking experience
