Summary
The Exercise Physiologist plans, delivers and evaluates patient care to designated participants in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab program under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Manager and / or Director.
The Exercise Physiologist works with team members to improve customer satisfaction and maximize results within the department and functions as a team leader and facilitator providing communications with other health team members in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department, as well as, performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum : Bachelor’s Degree of Exercise Science and Health& Motion
Preferred : Master’s degree in Exercise Science
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years in Adult Exercise Physiology or strong Cardiopulmonary Internship.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE / REGISTRATION
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- ACSM Exercise Test Technologist or ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist within one year of hire.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Computer Skills
- ECG monitoring
