Job Summary :

The Assembler III is responsible for operating a forklift (AS NEEDED) for the purpose of moving, stacking, replenishment, staging, and loading and unloading material for shipment.

The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and will also be required to perform Order Puller duties as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Prepare the components of the job for assembly
  • Read provided tickets that identify materials needed
  • Gather prescribed materials from stock using hand trucks, rolling carts and forklifts (if certified)
  • Place materials in designated area for assembly
  • Assemble the components of the job, which may include machining and / or assembling various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units :
  • Read orders and identifying necessary modifications
  • Operate machinery that modifies the product (ex. chop saws)
  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks at a time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements :

Education and / or Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Forklift License / Certification.

  • Physical Demands : The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand;
  • walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance;

stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
