Our vision for Worldwide Marketing Director at BD
The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive.

This position is responsible for executing the marketing and commercial plans for a given franchise. This position is a key leadership role and is responsible for communicating to the market, delivering products, driving revenue and margin performance, and providing direction on life cycle planning.
Additional Responsibilities :
Develops and implements marketing plans for multiple product lines in collaboration with Marketing Managers
Assists with the completion of the annual strategic planning (three-year plan) for multiple markets
Identifies, and develops marketing programs, sales tools, pricing, positioning and promotions for multiple product lines
Identifies, quantifies and develops new market and product opportunities for multiple product lines
Hires, manages and develops team members
Provides marketing leadership to the product management staff in the form of motivation, training and vision
Provides leadership to project teams directly or indirectly through subordinates
Works with regional leaders on product strategy
Formulates and manages the annual budget (promotional and expense) for multiple product lines
Responsible for development of annual product line forecasts
Collaborates cross functionally with functions such as R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other functions
Develops strong working relationship with regional marketing teams
Provide effective leadership to the organization, individually and through multiple product management teams
Must have a strong command of the objectives, issues, and environment of the business and must support and lead associates and management to successfully implement key programs
Hire, train and develop product management professionals at all levels
Knowledge & Skills :
Overall comprehension of the medical device marketplace and the ability to develop strategic plans for multiple market segments
Preferred knowledge and experience in the vascular access market
Demonstrated strong leadership and influence skills
Strong understanding of and ability to apply fundamental marketing concepts and techniques
Proven skills in hiring, coaching and developing subordinates
Proven international marketing skills and understanding of the international marketing role
Ability to handle / accept ambiguity and diversity in problem solving
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong competency with spreadsheet and word processing applications
Understand BD’s multi-product landscape and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including product managers, SME’s, development and design leads, and software engineers.
Lead in-depth discovery conversations with customers to identify deep insights on common problems / needs, clearly articulating the voice of the customer.
Design and validate new customer-centric solutions and capabilities that create differentiated value for the organization’s portfolio.
Own the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release, confidently evaluating and balancing risks & tradeoffs.
Partner with R&D to prioritize initiative work, define the product roadmap, and ensure timely delivery of the right product.
Work to understand and eliminate complex technical, functional, and business problems, enabling the broader team to efficiently execute on the product.
Lead global Launch & Commercial Planning for new & expansion offerings through close collaboration with the Regional teams & other Functions.
Generate undeniable Proof-points & Compelling Evidence, demonstrating the value of the offering to the market, justifying new pricing & business model innovation.
In collaboration with the regions, create training material and deliver training programs to internal and external stakeholders.
Build comprehensive Marketing Plans for new solution offerings, outlining segment-specific Messaging & Positioning, understanding customers, profiles, & motivators.
Work with clinical marketing, platform leaders and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segments.
Requirements :
BS / BA in Marketing or related field with ten plus (10+) years business experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility in product management and the managing of product managers
Must have experience within the healthcare / medical device field.
MBA with a concentration in Marketing a plus
Min. 6 years of experience in upstream marketing, strategic innovation
Ideal candidate will have experience in both upstream and downstream marketing
Experience and understanding of US and international home care incontinence space
Must have prior new product development experience, resulting in successful new product launches
Proven ability to persevere and thrive in ambiguous situations
Strong leadership towards multiple levels in the organization
Transformational strategic thinker / change agent
Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority
Proven ability to build and manage a team as applicable
Disciplined in assumption and metric-based decision making
Exceptional quantitative, analytical, written, verbal skills
