Position Summary

Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm, is seeking a full-time Yardi Training & Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team in New York.

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with extensive Yardi training to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing comprehensive training to our property management teams on Yardi Voyager, Elevate, Data Connect and other related Yardi tools.

Close collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer and the IT department will be required to develop and implement training modules and provide troubleshooting support for the team.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate closely with our Chief Technology Officer to oversee the Yardi property management system, ensuring its optimal performance and utilization for our property management team.
  • Configure and administer the Yardi software to align with the specific requirements of our property management operations.
  • Develop and execute training materials and sessions aimed at educating both new hires and existing members of our property management teams on Yardi Voyager, Elevate, and Data Connect.
  • Offer expert troubleshooting assistance across all applications, promptly addressing any issues or inquiries related to Yardi.
  • Develop strong partnerships with real estate application vendors to guarantee seamless integration with the Yardi system.
  • Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing support to improve user proficiency in utilizing Yardi, with success measured by reduced error rates, positive user feedback, and decreased need for repetitive support on recurring issues.
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently identify and implement enhancements in Yardi-related business processes, such as cost reduction and heightened user satisfaction.
  • Stay informed of the latest developments in property management software and technology, evaluating their potential application to enhance the functionality of the Yardi system.
  • Drive the development and implementation of new features and enhancements aimed at refining the efficiency and efficacy of our property management procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven track record (5+ years) with Yardi software, including Voyager, Elevate, RentCafe, and the Affordable module; experience in property management or knowledge of Yardi Voyager is a must.
  • Hands-on experience with additional Yardi modules, such as Data Connect.
  • Extensive understanding of real estate technology applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of real estate management procedures and financial reporting requirements.
  • Skilled in using computers and community management software, particularly Microsoft Office and various property management platforms, especially Yardi.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience in training and development, particularly in property management with a focus on Yardi.
  • 5+ years of experience with Yardi.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 3+ years training others on Yardi
  • Experience creating Yardi training materials
