IHA and St. Mary Mercy Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatry physician to serve as teaching faculty for the Psychiatry Residency program located in Livonia, Michigan.
The Department of Behavioral Medicine is seeking a full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatry physician interested in providing direction and leadership within the Residency program.
The ideal candidate will be interested in providing excellent patient care and education of general Psychiatry Residents in a supportive and collegial atmosphere.
This opportunity offers flexible scheduling and an environment that can provide physicians with diversity and balance in their work with resident education, individual patient care, scholarly activity, faculty development, and quality improvement.
Clinical settings include outpatient services, inpatient Mental Health Unit (MHU), consultation-liaison (CL), and Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES).
Priority for new faculty pertains primarily to the outpatient service, with potential opportunity in other areas, depending on the interest, skill, and experience of the candidate.
The call schedule for this opportunity includes one weekend every four to six weeks supervising clinical rounds with the Residents in the hospital services as well as three to four nights a month of telephone back-up call for the in-house Residents.
New graduates and experienced physicians will be considered for this opportunity.
