Market Research Associate
The Market Research Associate role is housed within the U.S. Corporate Finance Business Relationship Management (BRM) group based in New York .
The candidate will be a key member of the team. This role will suit someone who is seeking to develop a career in a front-line relationship management / marketing role.

We’ll Count on You To :
- The candidate will support the senior members of the US Corporate Finance BRM Team in managing and developing Fitch’s relationships both internally and externally
- The role requires a basic understanding of the debt capital markets and ratings business. Some exposure to corporate credit analysis is helpful
- The candidate will be responsible for research, development, and preparation of marketing materials under guidance from senior members of the team.
Individual must be self-sufficient and adept at putting together PowerPoint presentations and working with Excel spreadsheets
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing quantitative models and databases
- The candidate will need to monitor fixed income market news, debt issuances, corporate refinancings, LBOs, and M&A activities, and to look out for Fitch rating opportunities
What You Need to Have :
- New Grads and upcoming grads in Summer 2024 strongly encouraged to apply!
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a degree in Business, Finance or Economics
- 0-1 years of relevant work experience, knowledge of debt capital markets is a plus
- Self-starter who can understand objectives, work independently and is highly motived
- Ability to analyze and evaluate data demonstrated through marketing materials
- Great PowerPoint skills and Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team oriented, with an ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally
- High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY : Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $65,000 and $80,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
