We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to drive the operational strategy and ensure the efficiency and scalability of our operations as we continue to expand globally.

Job Summary :

As the Vice President of Operations , you will oversee all aspects of the company’s operational processes and play a critical role in scaling our fintech platform to meet growing demand.

You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing risk, and optimizing end-to-end operational workflows.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in fintech operations, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

  • Develop and execute the operational strategy to support the company’s long-term goals and growth plans.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement initiatives that drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability across the organization.
  • Provide thought leadership on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to keep the company ahead of the curve.

Operational Oversight :

  • Lead, manage, and scale the operations team, ensuring that all transaction processing, reconciliation, and customer service functions are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the entire operational workflow, from onboarding customers to transaction settlement, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
  • Implement robust process improvement frameworks, leveraging automation, AI, and other technologies to streamline operations.

Risk and Compliance Management :

  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI DSS) and maintain strong risk management practices across all operational processes.
  • Oversee internal audits, regularly evaluate operational risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address any vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all fintech services meet regulatory standards in all regions of operation.

Vendor and Partner Relations :

  • Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, payment processors, technology vendors, and other service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational excellence.
  • Negotiate contracts with third-party vendors and drive partnership strategies that align with company goals.

Performance Management and Reporting :

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, transaction processing times, error rates, customer satisfaction, and cost management.
  • Present regular reports to the executive team and board of directors, providing insights into operational performance, areas for improvement, and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership and Development :

  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that team members have the necessary tools, training, and development opportunities to succeed and grow within the organization.

Business Continuity and Scalability :

  • Design and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure uninterrupted operations in the event of system outages or unforeseen disruptions.
  • Ensure that the company’s operational infrastructure can scale effectively with business growth and market expansion.

Key Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience : 10+ years of experience in operations leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within fintech, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Proven Expertise : Deep understanding of fintech operations, including payments, transaction processing, customer onboarding, and regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, GDPR, etc.).

Technical Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of operational systems and technologies, including automation tools, payment gateways, and data analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in using data to drive decision-making and optimize operational processes.

Soft Skills :

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a focus on operational excellence.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience scaling operations in a high-growth fintech startup or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience driving digital transformation and operational automation.
  • Global experience, with an understanding of international financial regulations and market entry strategies.
