Seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to drive Oracle Kubernetes Engine programs for Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure.

Preferred candidates will need to have a mix of technical experience and business acumen including product management and / or product design.

This is a highly complex role that requires one to work across multiple internal organizations to deliver customer features.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for creating executable project plans with clearly defined milestones, reporting project status, working across multiple cross functional teams, issues / risks, mitigation plans, crating and improving documentation.

Additionally the Principle Technical Program Manager will support the service team OPS meetings, Change Review Board and roadmapping and business planning activities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management for software development.
  • Strong technical knowledge and preferred knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through other internal and external organizations and individuals.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to apply independent and sound business judgment to solve complex issues.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision required and can lead cross-functional teams to complete projects and major initiatives using judgment, experience, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies (AGILE, ORM, etc), PMP Certification preferred.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product. Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.

Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget / spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project / product on schedule and within budget constraints.

Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

US : Hiring Range : from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off : Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.

Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
