Position SummaryThe Student Conduct and Community Support Coordinator(focus areas : Student Conduct & Title IX) reports to the Director ofStudent Conduct and Community Support & Title IX Coordinator.

The Division of Student Conduct and Community Supporthouses the Student Code of Conduct Policy, CARE case management / outreach, PCC’sCARE team, Benefits Navigator, Student Title IX, Student
Harassment / Discrimination, Appeals / Complaints / Feedback,and responses to student Freedom of Expression. This position works as part ofa team that covers all campuses and centers to support functional areas within TheDivision of Student Conduct & Community Support. In addition, this
position works closely in collaboration with the OutreachAdvocacy Project, Public Safety (including Clery), and other student supportservices.
This position also supports general safety and security, contributesto a positive academic environment, and provides training to faculty, staff,and
students.

Case Management
- Demonstrated expertise in case management including maintaining database management system, completing all administrative responsibilities and documentation, follow-up and closure of cases.
- Demonstrated expertise in FERPA, Clery, Title IX, and other applicable laws.
- Experience with crisis intervention, response, and de-escalating situations.
Student-Centered
- Able to illustrate a student-centered, trauma-informed approach in response to challenging student and college issues.
- Demonstrated cultural and personal sensitivity, imagination, and effectiveness in problem-solving.
- Demonstrated experience with student conduct theory, practices, developmental approaches, and policy development.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Administration, Social Work, or other related field. Three (3) years of experience in behavioral counseling, mental health, college counseling, residential life, college judicial services, Title IX lead investigating, or related experience in a postsecondary environment.
OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field AND five (5) years of experience in behavioral counseling, mental health, college counseling, residential life, college judicial services, Title IX lead investigating, or related experience in a postsecondary environment.
OR seven (7) years of experience in behavioral counseling, mental health, college counseling, residential life, college judicial services, Title IX lead investigating, or related experience in a postsecondary environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of :
- Effective case management techniques;
- College policies and procedures for dealing with at-risk students and conduct cases;
- FERPA and applicable laws and regulations;
- Title IX and Oregon Sexual Harassment policies;
Best practices in student conduct and behavioral intervention.
- Services provided by various community-based organizations;
- Student development and student retention theories;
Training methods.
- Skills in : Problem-solving, mediation, and conflict resolution techniques;
- Operation of a computer and various supporting software packages;

Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.
May involve limited local travel. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), you may view Portland Community College’s (PCC) most recent Annual Security Report (ASR) on the Department of Public Safety website.
The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming.
The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years.
Paper copies of the ASR are available upon request at all Department of Public Safety offices.
Special Conditions for this position :
This position has been identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
Campus Security Authorities must immediately report Clery Act crimes that occurred on Portland Community College’s Clery geography on the Crime Incident Report (CIRTrac™) located on the Department of Public Safety’s Clery Act compliance webpage .
Following entry of a report on CIRTrac™ PCC’s Clery Specialist will (1) analyze the report for issuance of a timely warning or emergency notification;
and (2) will determine if the report should be included in the annual statistical disclosures. The Clery Specialist shall annually assign CSAs online Clery Act training to ensure they are provided proper training to fulfill their reporting responsibilities required by the Clery Act and PCC’s Clery Act policy.
