Responsibilities
- Five (5) years’ experience in a healthcare environment required.
- Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills
- Knowledge of contemporary principles of human resource management and public personnel practices.
- Ability to interpret and advise on the application of EEO / AA laws and regulations to public sector faculty / staff hiring processes.
- Knowledge of computerized information systems used in human resources applications.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, and public sector employment policies and procedures.
- Ability to interpret business and operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Strategic planning and performance measurement.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to complex human resource issues.
- Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations.
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Must have a working knowledge of the following areas : Compensation Administration, Employee Benefits Administration, Employee Relations and Employee Communication, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), management Development;
Preventive Labor Relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
- Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
- Ability to interpret and analyze informational needs and provide technical advice and guidance in area of specialty.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Database management skills.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in human resources, business or healthcare administration.
Licenses / Certifications
- SHRM - preferred
