Our client, a nationwide provider of high-quality food products has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineering Project Manager, to join their winning team in Collingswood.

Our candidate of choice will manage and implement various projects related to production operations management and expansion for all US Operations.

You will oversee the planning, design, and execution of assigned projects such as plant expansions, equipment installations and designs, etc.

and coordinate internal and external resources and work closely with the maintenance and production departments to ensure the successful completion of various projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS : Prepares and updates project engineering procedures including description of the project administration process and contract documentation guidelines.

  • Provides technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work; through project coordination meetings and other means, monitors progress against project schedules and budgets;
  • reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, contract requirements, and related specifications;
  • recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals.Monitors progress and performance of capital projects against capital improvement plan;

evaluates and approves changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, and schedule of the projects.Proficiency using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders.

Develop and monitor project engineering schedules, budgets, and forecastsParticipates actively as a member of the plant management team;

provides necessary support for other plant functions / activities as determined by managerMaintains accurate and up-to-date project files and drawings, and identifying and corrective safety, ergonomic and operational problems through proper design of equipmentApplies any environmental regulations and ensure they are respectedReads, analyzes, and interprets a variety of instructions, manuals, and procedures in written, oral, diagram, and schedule formDemonstrates professionalism in all aspects of plant’s rules and regulations and encourages quality personnel performanceEnsure that all identified contractors are suitably pre-qualified / assured for the delivery of the project.

Provide technical direction to supply chain for the negotiation of the purchase of any good and / or services required for the delivery of the project.

Facilitate, and participate in the planning process and provide input for decisions effecting facility operations, maintenance and repair, and technical task / project execution.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred5 years’ of project and / or plant engineering management experienceProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint5 years of relevant work experience;

preferably in Engineering and Project Management3-5 years of Management experienceMinimum of 3 years’ experience in Food Processing, including Thermal Processes and / or sanitationExperience in Automation and Controls Systems preferredAbility to establish, meet deadlines and prioritize workExperience in private manufacturing sectorAbility to initiate, compile, analyze and provide accurate reportingStrong negotiating skillsKnowledge and understanding of multiple trades to detect issues / opportunities regarding progress to schedule, workload and manpower, materials, etc.
