Summary Statement

The incumbent in this position provides nursing services including, but not limited to direct nursing care, assessments, nursing care plans, and coordination of health care services for the residents.

The incumbent will supervise and evaluate the care provided to the residents by the certified nursing assistants. In addition, the incumbent will have regular contact with residents, families, nursing staff, physicians, dietary, pharmacy, administration, and other ancillary departments of the facility.

• Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
• Develops, implements and / or reviews nursing care plans.
• Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and / or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs.
• Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.
• Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.
• Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse III

Applicants must have education, training and / or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas :

• At least two years experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Masters degree or higher in Nursing.
• Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.

This is a Casual / Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and / or other benefits.

Conditions of Hire

Pre-employment Drug Testing : Upon a conditional offer, you must undergo pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.

Criminal background check : A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.

Upon a conditional offer, the applicant must undergo a pre-employment base line two step tuberculin skin test (TST) as part of the hiring process.

This position is a classification organized under an exclusive bargaining representative (labor organization) that has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other applicable terms and conditions of employment, in accordance with Title 29, Chapter 59 and Title 19, Chapter 13 and 16.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement based on its individual terms.
