Medical Coder CPC
Onsite in Phoenix, AZ 85012 (Opportunity for Hybrid option after introduction period)
- 5 + years of Medical Coding experience (Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HPCPS coding systems)
- Experience in SMI, Behavioral Health Coding
3 6 month CONTRACT (potential to hire dependent on performance / attendance)
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30am - 4pm
Pay rate : $23-$27 per hour (dependent on incoming experience)
Responsibilities :
- Review medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
- Ensure that all codes are compliant with the current coding guidelines and regulations
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of patient information, including medical histories and insurance information
- Work closely with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate claims submissions, posting charges
- collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify medical information as needed
- participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on coding guidelines and regulations
- Attend onsite monthly meetings
What you bring!
- CPC Certification
- 5 or more years of Medical Coding experience
- Experience in SMI, Behavioral Health Coding
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HPCPS coding systems
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively, high interpersonal skills
- Highly detailed and sense of urgency
