Summary / Objective of Position :
The Dean of the School of Dine Studies and Education is responsible for administering the Dine Studies and Education program, leads faculty members in planning, developing and implementing instruction, research, services and outreach activities.
The School of Dean also collaborates with peers in other schools, department heads, and leaders of the college community.
The School Dean also observes and evaluates faculty members, while fostering an environment for both student and faculty growth;
enhancing relationships with internal and external constituencies, supporting the efforts of Dine College Alumni; fostering paticipatory in management and continuous improvement of programs implementing academic policies, administering School budget, supporting departmental initiatives for program growth and improvement.
Serves as a member of the Provost's Council of Deans.

50%) Administrative Duties :
Supervises both full time faculty, adjunct, and staff in accordance with institutional policies and procedures along with other applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Hiring highly qualified effective faculty and staff, and ensuring their accountability for high-level of performance in areas appropriate to their positions including being responsible for faculty on-boarding and new hire orientation.
Resolves student complaints in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Academic Standards. Ensuring coordination of all components and activities within the School of Dine Studies and Education.
Submits report and assures proper credentialing for faculty to meet curriculum delivery requirements, including development of the annual faculty staffing plan.
25%) Student Learning and Success : Provide leadership and working in a systemic environment; ensures the education provided meets and exceeds standards set forth by the institution's accrediting agency, Higher Learning Commission and other accrediting agencies related to specialized programs.
ensures quality post secondary students learning appropriate to higher education standards.Facilitates excellence in teaching scholarly pursuits and services to the college and the community with special emphasis on student success.
Maintains transferable of course credits and / or academic programs, internally and externally. Ensures student matriculate through academic programs within the School of Dine Studies & Education concurrently with the General Education core requirements and plan for academic growth in accordance to the Academic master Planning.
25%) Strategic Planning : Responsible and accountable for all monetary resources for the School of Dine Studies and Education and seeks additional resources through fundraising, grants, alumni relations and endowment to ensure program viability and is responsible in conducting Program Reviews on scheduled basis to make strategic data-informed decisions aligned with institutional and annual fiscal planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum :
Master Degree from an accredited institution in the field related to the program within the School of Dine Studies and Education with 5 years demonstrated experience in the roles and responsibilities outlined in the position.
Preferred : EdD or PhD

Knowledge :
Knowledge in administrative and management experience, customer services, and understanding of national trends in undergraduate and graduate programs within Education.
Skills :
Skill in internal and external communication skills,
Skill in organization and higher ed structure
Skill in interpersonal skills in working effectively with a wide range of constituencies for the purpose pf building a relationship
Skill in use of computer and all related software to academics.
Abilities :
Ability to make administrative decisions and good judgement.
Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long term goals for the program.
Ability to read, understand and interpret accreditation criteria and state regulations.
Ability to present effective information to faculty, academic leaders, leadership and community
Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel :
Work performed in typical interior / office environment. Work includes moderate physical activities with long period standing during lectures and may require lifting, and includes some traveling with students and / or faculty.
Other Requirement(s) :
Maintain valid drivers license. Per the higher ed accreditation, additional credentialing / license may be required.
