Primary Purpose of this Job
Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the organization’s manufacturing systems, with the goal of being the premier manufacturing group in the industry.
The Director, Operations will oversee all areas Operations including Machining, Flowforming, Forging, Assembly & Test departments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall direction, management and results of departments and carries out responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws
- Minimizes product costs while meeting customer value requirements
- Directs LEAN efforts to minimize the cost of quality including scrap, rework, and field failures
- Interfaces with customers, vendors, subcontractors and ensures the organization is in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Further develops and implements performance metrics to ensure on-time-delivery of production to customers
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree;ME / IE;10-15 years of related experience
Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt & Continuous Improvement expertise
Effectively make presentations;respond and relate to issues, opportunities, and challenges customers
Ability to respond and relate to customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to :
- Communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
- Adapt to changing work environment, competing demands, able to deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
- Communicate and work with all levels of staff in various departments

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to :
- Vibration, or works near moving mechanical parts and high, precarious, and congested places
- Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
- Work on or near moving mechanical parts
- Exposed to prolonged risk of loud to moderate noise throughout the day. Hearing protection is recommended in all areas of the shop and is provided by the Company
