ServiceOperations
Under the direction of the Health Fitness Manager, help manage and perform day-to-day operations of the facilityincludingcoveringsitehours,onboardingnewmembers,conductingfitnesscenterorientations,leading group fitness classes, regularly cleaning fitness equipment, providing general exercise guidance, and developing / implementing member programming (i.
e., regular team or individual fitness and wellness challenges).
- Whereapplicable,assistManagerwithmanagingSpecialiststaffanddesignateoperationaltasksasneeded.
- Whereapplicable,assistManagerwithmanagingthegroupfitnessschedule includingoutsideinstructors and backfilling classes as needed.
- AssistManagerwithon-siteand / orvirtualprogramming,asapplicable.
- Whereapplicable,assistwithpreparingfitness-relatedmaterialsincludingnewsletters,communications, handouts and bulletin boards.
- AssistManagerwithreportsandtrackingrequirements,asassigned.
- ReportallequipmentissuespromptlytoManager.
- Reportallfacility / maintenanceissuespromptlyandinformManager.
- AssistManagerwithordersforequipment,supplies,cleaningproduct,andotherapproveditems.
- Whereapplicable,developexerciseprogramstoimproveparticipantstrength,flexibility,endurance,or circulatory functioning, in accordance with the most recent exercise science standards.
- Distributegeneralfirstaidsuppliesbasedonresourcesavailable(e.g.,Band-Aids,gauze,coldpacks).
- Intheeventofamedicalemergency,activateEmergencyMedicalServices(EMS).PerformCPRand / oruse AED as warranted.
- Submitsafetyeventformswithin24 incidents.
- Demonstratecorrectuseofexerciseequipmentorperformanceofexerciseroutines.
- Recommendmethodstoincreasephysicalactivity.
- Whereapplicable,interpretexerciseprogramparticipantdatatoevaluateprogressoridentifyneededprogram changes.
- Whereapplicable,prescribeindividualizedexerciseprograms,specifyingequipment,suchastreadmill,exercise bicycle, ergometers, or other strength and conditioning equipment.
- Providegeneraloversightofexerciseforparticipantsatallrisk levels.
- Whereapplicable,explainexerciseprogramorphysiologicaltestingprocedurestoparticipants.
- ReportallprivacyandsecuritybreachesimmediatelyaccordingtoFOHandHHSpolicy.
- AssistinorientingnewFOHWHPS staff.
- Supportdirectivesintheagencyagreement,asassignedbytheManager.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’sdegreepreferredorminimumof2years’experienceinexercisephysiology,corporatefitness,wellness, health promotion and / or healthcare-related field.
- Currentcertificationingroupfitnessorpersonaltrainingthroughnationallyaccreditedorganization.
- CurrentCPR / AEDcertification.
- Whenteachingfitnessclasses,mustholdgeneralorspecialtynationalcertificationsasappropriate.
