EEG Technician

We arelooking for empathetic candidates with a high attention to detail for the positionof an EEG Technician. EEG Technicians areresponsible for setting up and maintaining EEG equipment, performing EEG testing and informing the physician of any pertinent information that may effect the interpretation of the test.

The idealcandidate must have experience with EEG's, will have an excellent work ethic, be a quick learner, enjoymulti-tasking and staying organized, be flexible, and understand the importanceof a positive, courteous and a professional attitude in the workplace.

Greatattention to detail and clear communication with patients are essential.

EssentialJob Responsibilities :

• Performing EEG tests on patients
• Interview patients, measures vital signs, and other pertinent information as required by department. Records information in patient's' medical record.
• Identifying and diagnosing heart conditions
• Monitoring patient blood pressure
• Gathers appropriate documents and signatures necessary to assist the Clinician in making treatment decisions.
• Working alongside Neurologist
• Setting up EEG components including EEG tracing for accurate readings
• Monitoring EEG equipment and reposting any malfunctions
• Manages rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients; Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Uses customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• EEG training and certification
• Proficiency with EEG Technology

Experience : Twoor more years of experience in customer service or reception, preferably in ahealth care environment. Spanishspeaking and knowledge of E-Clinical Works a plus.
