Description
- Collaborate with Executive Directors and Directors to execute department and district initiatives, ensuring coherence through effective management of data and projects related to TEA compliance, RDA, Self-Assessment, and MTSS.
- Provide data analysis and validation to support the development of customizations and reports for district network systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for special education.
- Lead the collection, preprocessing, and analysis of large-scale datasets from various sources, compiling and sharing district-level reports using appropriate research methodologies as requested by the Deputy Chief, Assistant Superintendent, Executive Directors, and the leadership team.
- Partner with Dallas ISD Evaluation and Assessment, Academic Services, and School Leadership teams to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of Special Services programs.
- Collect data from multiple platforms to generate and disseminate reports with accurate and consistent data, informing Special Services and District teams of impact and potential next steps for continuous improvement.
- Visualize data analyses in accessible formats for internal and external stakeholders, including data dashboards, reports, and slide decks.
- Train Special Services staff and other district employees on interpreting and applying data analyses to inform decision-making and actions.
- Manage the organization and warehousing of key datasets, historical analyses, and data dashboards.
- Stay updated on the latest statistical analysis techniques and software.
- Assist with creating and disseminating department-wide communications, including newsletters, websites, and emails.
- Maintain a working understanding of all district programs and how data analyses impact them.
- Develop and manage projects with detailed schedules and work plans to meet deadlines.
- Monitor and control project activities to ensure coherence.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned preferred.
- 5+ years experience in education, at the campus central level.
- Proven experience in designing, executing, and monitoring high-level projects.
- Expertise in developing and delivering professional development for diverse audiences.
- Strong background in managing and analyzing data.
- Proficient in building and maintaining data dashboards.
- Skilled in recording methodologies with technical precision, accuracy, readability, and editorial correctness.
- Capable of strategic and operational planning for district-wide initiatives related to planning, evaluation, and accountability.
- Effective communication skills to engage with a diverse community, district staff, and the public.
- Successful collaboration with other professionals and evaluation teams.
- Ability to work effectively with community organizations, schools, residential facilities, governmental agencies, parents, students, and others in a diverse setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer operations, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Suite, and Outlook.
