Job Description

The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator in the Finance department is responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the Society.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record all Accounts Payable transactions in adherence to US GAAP on a timely basis
  • Ensure all vendor information to record an invoice is entered accurately in Financial Edge
  • Address and resolve vendor inquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service with a sense of urgency to both vendors and LAS employees
  • Train temps and new hires
  • Assist in delegating invoices and check requests sent to AP inbox
  • Process and pay vendor invoices
  • Gather required documentation for various audits, including program and external audits
  • Backup to the Lead AP Specialist in sending list of checks to AP Manager after payments have been printed
  • Provide ad-hoc trouble shooting and technical assistance to other AP team members
  • Assist in overseeing the efforts of gathering required documentation for various audits, including

  • Document and update Accounts Payable processes as necessary
  • Work on monthly analyses for more complex vendors
  • Special projects as requested

Requirements

  • BA / BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Three years of experience with payables and customer service preferred
  • Nonprofit experience preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and ability to review large volumes of data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Understand when to escalate critical time sensitive issues
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Versatile in handling multiple tasks simultaneously in accordance with highest priority
  • Ability to meet deadlines, which may require a flexible schedule, as extended working hours may be required during month-end and year-end
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Sense of professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Extremely organized and ability to respond to internal and external requests

SALARY TRANSPARENCY

The posting reflects the range of potential salaries for the role. The specific salary offers will be dependent on candidate qualifications, including collectively bargained salary steps for unionized roles.

Salary Range / Salary : $ 65,
