THE ROLE

The SP Family is looking for an Employee Relations Representative. The ideal candidate has an assertive personality and must be able to develop judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
In conjunction with the HR Business Partner, Operations team, and employees you will work to provide solutions for employee relations matters through mentoring conversations and comprehensive investigations.
Most of the communication in this role is done by phone and email.
Hourly Range : $20-$24 DOE
THIS IS WHAT A DAY AT WORK MAY LOOK LIKE :
- Troubleshoot employees’ issues or concerns, including comprehensive investigations as needed, identify the root cause of the problem, and useful tools and resources to determine how to resolve employee problems.
- Follow up on escalated issues with coaching and mentoring to learn the appropriate solution and expand overall knowledge.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with HR and Operations team about open cases.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure cross-functional sharing of activities and outcomes.
- Provide employee customer service to resolve conflicts, questions, or issues current employees may have.
- Assist with day to day HR duties.
ABOUT YOU
- Confidentiality is a MUST!
- Previous experience in human resources, onboarding, conflict resolution, and employee relations
- General knowledge of labor and employment laws and resources
- Demonstrates effective people skills and sensitivities when dealing with others
- Ability to build rapport with all employees
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tactfulness, confidentiality, and professionalism
IT WOULD BE GREAT BUT NOT NECESSARY TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience in the retail industry with emphasis in athletic footwear
- Experience working for a growing company
