Closing Shift Assistant Restaurant Manager

To maintain company growth, our team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager with proven leadership capabilities to oversee the operations at Pequod's Pizza in Chicago.

As a leader our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and a positive work environment.

Maintaining a balance between all departments and implementing the rules for the benefit of staff and customers will be essential.

If you are passionate about food, hospitality, and leading a team to success, we want to hear from you! This position requires availability to work closing shifts between the hours of 3pm and 2 : 30am.

Responsibilities :

• Monitor pizzeria operations including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and performance.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service are consistently met.
• Confirm that exceptional service and brand standards are delivered through hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
• Create and implement strategies to increase efficiency, drive sales, and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
• Foster a positive work environment based on teamwork, respect, and open communication.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate with ownership and management to develop and execute strategic projects.
• Assume responsibility for opening and closing procedures with a team-oriented attitude to direct employees or roll-up your sleeves and step into a role if needed.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in restaurant management, preferably in a pizzeria or high-volume dining environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and front-of-house procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional planning, troubleshooting, and conflict-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality service and products.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and other restaurant-related technology.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food Manager Certification Required.
