Job Description :
This position is part of TruthMD’s Disciplinary and Sanctions department within Operations. This department’s primary responsibility is to report sanction or disciplinary action taken against a medical professional within the United States.
This is done through extensive research on various state medical board sites. The Core Data Researcher & Quality Control Specialist will play two vital roles within the department.
They will conduct detailed research of online county, state and federal data sources and extract public records, as well as ensure the integrity and accuracy of this research.
The Core Data Researcher & Quality Control Specialist will report to the VP, Operations
Responsibilities :
- Research online state board sites to find new sanctions and / or disciplinary actions
- Accurately extract information from numerous data sources and map data elements for database import
- Proofread data and correct errors
- Identify and work to resolve issues within the research and extraction process
- Perform quality control measures by reviewing extracted data to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies
- Update departmental training and procedural documents as needed
- Leverage existing SQL querying tools to facilitate and expedite processes
- Work with internal teams to improve workflow and system processes
Requirements :
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, thorough and organized
- Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Basic SQL knowledge and willingness to advance skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills to keep in-line with refresh schedule
- Ability to learn and work independently
- Experience using ticketing system for all project work
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum 4+ years in related field
