Job Summary
Bern's Steak House Harry Waugh Dessert Room is seeking dedicated, detail oriented and professional candidates for a server position in a high-volume fine dining restaurant.
We will provide you with the tools to learn, grow, and become a confident and knowledgeable asset in any restaurant. Fine dining experience with knowledge in dessert wines, cognacs, armagnacs, ports and other after dinner drinks is helpful.
Essential Duties :
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a high volume fast-paced environment.
- Ability to seamlessly transition from working independently to contributing as a member of a team while delivering exceptional customer service to provide every guest with a lasting and memorable experience.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a focus on the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of station throughout the entire shift.
- Maintain safety standards at all times.
- Ability to provide multiple table side service offerings while engaging with guests.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor and well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Must be available late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work with your hands, stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform the following : carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50v pounds, moving about the restaurant, handling food, plates, trays, glasses etc, bending, stooping and kneeling
- Able to work within a team environment to coordinate a one of a kind dining experience with upbeat, outgoing and positive energy.
- Accountability, professionalism and a high level of conscientiousness regarding the guest experience.
- Florida SafeStaff Certification (classes provided within the company if you are not certified)
- TIPS Certification (classes provided within the company if you are not certified)
