- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creativity to data analytics.
- Queries and analyzes large data sets and develops and validates user-friendly reports.
- Facilitates strategic decision-making processes by providing insights on planning, policy development, work methodologies, procedural enhancements, resource utilization, organizational structuring, assignment distribution, and information management.
- Conducts comprehensive program and operations research and analysis with a focus on financial metrics to drive informed decision-making.
- Designs and develops customized reports tailored to meet specific financial analysis and reporting requirements.
- Collaborates closely with stakeholders and departments to gather and synthesize financial data along with business requirements, ensuring alignment of reporting objectives with actionable data.
- Provides expert support for the optimization and maintenance of all financial systems integral to operational reporting and efficiency.
- Contributes to the University of Utah Health's short and long-range financial planning cycle through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Transforms complex business challenges into actionable technical solutions, bridging the gap between business needs and technological capabilities.
- Conducts in-depth analyses and audits on financial data, patient-level financial metrics, and other statistical indicators to drive financial performance improvements.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, a related field, or the equivalent experience.
- Four years of progressively more responsible financial management analyst experience.
- Experience conducting data analysis using relational databases.
- Experience in using reporting software packages including : Excel,SQL,Tableau, Python, etc.
Qualifications (Preferred)

Master's degree in a related field.
