Are you a seasoned culinary professional with a passion for innovation and excellence? Our upscale restaurant brand is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Management : Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating standards, ensuring the highest quality and consistency.
  • Safety and Compliance : Maintain stringent food quality, hygiene, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Management : Manage inventory, control food costs, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high performance.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with the management team to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  • Industry Trends : Stay abreast of industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques to continuously improve our offerings.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role, with a strong portfolio of culinary innovation and excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary trends, ingredients, and cooking techniques, demonstrating a passion for creativity and high-quality dining experiences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of kitchen management, including inventory control, budgeting, and cost management to maximize profitability.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Commitment to maintaining stringent food quality, hygiene, and safety standards, with extensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the restaurant industry.
  • Experience in menu planning, development, and execution tailored to a specific restaurant brand, with a focus on both presentation and taste.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential if experience and skills meet the required standard.
