Position Overview : They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual external audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, providing financial expertise and support for strategic decision-making initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, proactively assessing the impact on the company and recommending appropriate actions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
