A. POSITION PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the sound operation of the Diversity in Corporate Governance Institute (DCGI), housed in the Silicon Valley Executive Center (SVEC) in the Leavey School of Business.
Specifically, this person is the front-line manager responsible for all operational aspects of the DCG Institute. The position is full time and will report to the Sr. Director of the DCGI.
B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Management of DCGI programs
Ensure the highest possible quality of experience to all who apply for programs
Collaborate with Sr. Director of the DCGI to create and organize application and registration processes and policies
Schedule program-related meetings with applicants and stakeholders who are part of the application, review, and registration processes as needed
Coordinate and disseminate program-related communications to stakeholders
Collaborate with DCGI Program Coordinator and Director of Finance and Administration to collect program fees and assist with accounts receivables
Collaborate with Director of Program Communities to ensure sound operations of continuing education and other initiatives related to the DCGI
b. Financial and administrative management
Collaborate with SVEC Sr. Director of Finance and Administration and other administrative team members to monitor revenue and and expenses related to the DCGI
Collaborate with SVEC Sr. Director of Finance and Administration and other administrative team to create and execute contracts for DCGI programs
Collaborate with DCGI Director and the SVEC Director of Finance and Administration to develop and monitor the annual operating budget and ensure the financial well-being of the Institute
Collaborate with the DCGI Director to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of institutional procedures, operating workflows, reporting, and all other operational functions
c. Information management
Manage databases and information systems and processes of the DCGI
Collaborate with DCGI and SVEC team members to create assessments, collect data and organize research efforts for the Institute
Produce public-facing reports for the DCGI
Recommend improvements to data infrastructure
Provide analytics on website pages on a regular basis
d. Other duties as assigned
Cross training with the Program Coordinator of the DCGI to understand other DCGI functions outside of this role
C. PROVIDES WORK DIRECTION
Provides direction to student workers.
D. GENERAL GUIDELINES
Recommends initiatives and implements changes to improve quality and services.
Identifies and determines cause of problems; develops and presents recommendations for improvement of established processes and practices.
Maintains contact with customers and solicits feedback for improved services.
Maximizes productivity through use of appropriate tools; planned training and performance initiatives.
Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
Prepares progress reports; informs supervisor of project status; and deviation from goals. Ensures completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all operational functions.
Prepares and submits reports as requested and required.
Develops and implements guidelines to support the functions of the unit.

4. Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
5. Years of Experience
Three to five years of program or operations management experience
