Summary
The Analyst - Port Operations TEMP role involves managing various financial and operational aspects related to port activities.
This includes monitoring fuel and electricity costs, overseeing accounts payable aging, updating rate sheets and conducting audits for accuracy.
This position plays a critical role in optimizing port operations efficiency and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Optimization Port Operations & Financial Reporting Manage quarterly fuel and electricity costs, including rate calculations Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment processing Update rate sheets, LTS, and system codes for accuracy Conduct audits for rate-related discrepancies and resolve audit holds Analyze port revenue sharing agreements and incentives Prepare financial reports, assist in budget planning, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Maintaining accurate financial records for month-end accruals
- Contribute to Process Improvement Initiatives Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for process improvements Prepare financial reports Assist in budget planning Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Actively participating in vendor meetings Responding to administrative requests
- Operational Support Oversee coordination of special projects and presents insight to management for decision making and strategic financial planning

Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking, planning and organizational skills, proven work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, responsibility, and pride in workmanship required
- Advanced computer skills : Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required
- Data mining and visualization skills required
- Ability to logically and systematically work through problems required
- Must possess necessary interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with different departments, along with current customers required
- Strong financial analytical skills required
Education & Experience
- Associate's Degree Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 1 - 2 Years of Direct Experience in General Business Administration, Accounting, and / or FP & A Required
- 2 - 5 Years of Direct Experience Preferred Experience in the Automotive Industry Preferred
- 1 Year of Indirect Experience Required 3 Years of Indirect Experience Preferred
- Training in FB&A Preferred
