Staff Accountant

Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a leading technology company, in the Greater Boston Area, in order to fill a Staff Accountant position.

General Responsibilities :

• Accurately posting General Ledger journal entries in accordance with reporting requirements
• Reporting daily cash transactions and preparing weekly cash reports
• Applying appropriate level of professional skepticism to all financial transactions
• Preparing and / or reviewing miscellaneous payments in online banking system
• Performing regular balance sheet line item and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, internal and external audit requests, and other ad hoc projects as required
• Other tasks, as assigned Qualifications :
• 2-4 years' of previous experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous office experience
• Strong analytical and accounting skills; thorough knowledge of accounting principles
• Good knowledge of GAAP and financial statements
• Independently motivated, detail-oriented and good problem-solving ability
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multitask
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
