Lab Manager
This role is responsible for leading and managing our testing laboratory. You will ensure the lab produces reliable, timely, and accurate test results while fostering a strong company culture.
In this role, you will :
- Oversee all aspects of the laboratory, ensuring efficient and high-quality operations.
- Maintain timely turnaround times for lab work.
- Lead the lab team and foster a positive work environment.
- Manage laboratory finances and ensure profitability.
- Guarantee adherence to ISO 17025 standards and quality management systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized lab environment.
- Supervise non-standard projects as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and scientific advancements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the lab team.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding lab capabilities, results, and pricing.
- Travel may be required.
We are looking for someone with :
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience with technical procedures and governmental regulations in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
